Locals beat Sri Lankan soldier for flashing genitals at woman

A Sri Lankan soldier was beaten by a crowd of Vavuniya residents after he sexually harassed a woman in front of her home in Nochchimoddai.

The woman says he urinated in front of her house and then exposed his genitals while calling her over.

The soldier ran when his victim summoned a relative to approach him, causing a larger group to chase him down.

He revealed that he was a soldier attached to the Poowewa camp when he was apprehended by the locals and beaten.

The commotion attracted more angry locals in front of the Nochchimoddai bridge before eventually Omanthai police arrived and took the soldier away in a three-wheeler.
