US warns of imminent airstrikes on Syria, UK holds Syria regime responsible for chemical attacks

US President Donald Trump warned Russia on Wednesday of imminent military action in Syria in response to confirmed chemical weapons usage in Douma.

The US president, on social media, said that missiles “will be coming” whilst criticising Russia’s support to the Assad regime.

“Russia vows to shoot down any and all missiles fired at Syria. Get ready Russia, because they will be coming, nice and new and ‘smart!’” the US President wrote on Twitter.

France is likely to join any military action against Syria, whilst the UK is under pressure to support US efforts reports the times.co.uk.

Commenting on intelligence about the attacks the British Prime Minister Theresa May, said earlier today,  “All the indications are that the Syrian regime was responsible. We’re rapidly reaching an understanding of what happened on the ground.”
