TNA should be banned - Deputy Minister

The Deputy Labour Minister Sarath Weerasekara has called for the Tamil National Alliance (TNA) to be banned.

According to LankaSri, Weerasekara said that the TNA always stood by the beliefs of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam and thus politically aided "one of the most brutal terrorist organisations in the world".

The deputy minister stated that after the end of the LTTE in Sri Lanka, the TNA is the only political party which is still trying to revive the Tamil Eelam struggle.

“Even though everything and everyone who associated with the LTTE organization has been banned, or brought before the law, TNA still hiding behind the democracy and aiding terrorism publically. Hence, the Tamil National Alliance (TNA) political party should be banned”, he said.
