24th anniversary of Puthukkudiyiruppu aerial bombing commemorated

On September 15th, the 24th anniversary of the tragic Puthukudiyiruppu aerial bombing massacre was solemnly commemorated. This devastating event unfolded as a result of aerial bombings conducted by the Sri Lankan Air Force, claiming the lives of 24 innocent civilians who were present at the public market when it was bombed.

The commemorative event was attended by the relatives of the victims, as well as members of the general public who wished to pay their respects. The attendees offered flowers for the souls of the victims to rest in peace. The event also included a moment of silence, allowing everyone present to reflect and remember the lives lost in this tragic incident.
